Nectarome — formally the Jardin Bio Aromatique Nectarome — is an organic aromatic herb farm and garden roughly 35 kilometers from Marrakech in the Ourika Valley, at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. The garden cultivates around fifty aromatic, medicinal, and ornamental plants native to the region, including several varieties of mint, spearmint and peppermint among them — the base ingredients of the mint tea that anchors Moroccan hospitality.

Visitors move through the gardens on guided tours covering the traditional uses of the plants grown there, then are served mint tea in shaded tented seating set up specifically for the purpose — the garden functioning as much as a working demonstration of how the tea's ingredients are grown as a shop. Nectarome's retail side sells soaps, shampoos, aromatherapy and massage oils made from the same organically grown plants, extending the garden's output past tea into the broader Moroccan tradition of herbal body care.

Rather than importing or blending tea from elsewhere, Nectarome sells what it grows on-site in the Ourika Valley, letting visitors see the mint before it's in the glass — a direct, farm-to-cup version of a ritual most tourists only ever encounter already brewed in a Marrakech riad or medina stall.
