What Ruinart is known for
Ruinart was founded in Reims in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart and shipped its first bottles the following January. Known for Chardonnay-led blanc de blancs, it ages its wines in Gallo-Roman chalk crayères more than 30 metres beneath the city — cellars classed as a Historic Monument since 1931.
Best for — Blanc de Blancs, elegant gifting, and celebration bottles.
