What TEAHOUSE is known for

TEAHOUSE traces to 1996, when a tea distribution business started in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region; ten years later, in 2006, founders Kostiantyn Mazuryk and Svitlana Kobelyeva turned it into a retail brand and trademark of its own.

TEAHOUSE traces to 1996, when a tea distribution business started in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region; ten years later, in 2006, founders Kostiantyn Mazuryk and Svitlana Kobelyeva turned it into a retail brand and trademark of its own. The company built a tea-blending and packing facility in Dnipro, importing leaf from tea-growing countries across Asia, Africa and South America while buying herbs and fruit directly from Ukrainian farmers for its own infusions — a dual sourcing line most Ukrainian tea retailers don't run. Over roughly two decades the brand grew to 22 stores, company-owned and franchised, including a 2019 flagship inside Kyiv's TsUM department store carrying more than a hundred teas, its largest shop yet.

In July 2025, a Russian attack on Dnipro destroyed the company's production facilities and warehouse, wiping out equipment and finished stock. TEAHOUSE said rebuilding would take 11 to 12 months, secured a Ukrainian government grant toward new equipment, and kept its online store and remaining physical shops running through the recovery — including preparing for that autumn's Kyiv tea festival. The brand's own account of itself, echoed in Ukrainian business press, is of a company still filling orders and still blending tea while rebuilding the plant that makes it.
