Torras

Torras began in 1951 with knitwear made by Josefa Torras and her son Joan Serra in Caldes de Montbui. Leather later became central to the label, including garments combining leather with knitted sections. Its present range is aimed at men and women, with jackets providing a clear starting point for browsing. The brand’s history does not mean that every garment is still produced in its original town. A November 2024 report in The New Barcelona Post describes a changed business after the company’s 2020 insolvency. Sonia Caballero bought the brand and retained design while outsourcing production and licensing sales in other markets. The report names workshops in Spain as well as suppliers in several other countries. Country of manufacture therefore needs to be checked on the individual garment rather than inferred from the Spanish brand name. The same report describes sales through the online shop and independent retailers, not a return to a network of company-owned boutiques.
