Budapest Shopping Route — Haris köz, the Porcelain Square, and the Buda Counters

Three walks, not one ruin-bar loop. Váci and the inner alleys for shoes, chocolate, and the porcelain square. The Jewish Quarter for print and paper. Buda for pastry, wine, and the workshop rooms that sit off the postcard. Carry one bag. Leave room for a bottle and a box.

Do not start on Kazinczy at night. If Sunday morning is when you land, you may begin at the Szimpla producers' market and then do Walk 2 in reverse. That is the only honest use of that courtyard. The thesis does not change because the courtyard has lights.

Walk 1: Váci, Haris köz, József nádor tér

Start at Vass Shoes, Haris köz 6. Ask about the last. Ask what the welt is. Ready-to-wear, made-to-order, or a last stored under your name: pick one ticket. Step to Rozsnyai at No. 3 if you booked. Two last-makers, one alley. Come out toward Váci. Bomo Art is Régi Posta utca 14, paper goods with a door. Molnár Kürtőskalács at Váci 31 is a watch-and-eat stop. Official open kitchen. Do not pack the cake.

Rózsavölgyi Csokoládé sits in Párizsi Udvar at Petőfi Sándor utca 2–4. Buy a bar you can name. Szamos Marcipán is Párizsi utca 3, boxed marzipan and szaloncukor. Packed goods travel. 1000 Tea is the courtyard at Váci 65, south end. Smell leaf, buy weight. Check the summer close before you walk that far for tea.

Cut north to Vörösmarty tér. Gerbeaud at 7-8 is the packed-slice counter, official 1858 line. Walnut, apricot jam, or a chocolate box. One square over, József nádor tér: Herend at 10-11, Zsolnay Store at 10. Two towns, two doors, one pavement. Ask the pattern at Herend. Ask the glaze at Zsolnay. Do not follow the Pécs Zsolnay pin.

Bestsellers Bookstore is Október 6. utca 11 if you want an English stack before you leave the Fifth. Ajka Crystal and Paloma share Kossuth Lajos utca (10 and 14-16). Crystal is a pointer to Ajka. Paloma is the courtyard of named makers. Walk the yard. Buy from a person you can name. Auguszt also keeps a Belváros pastry room in this block. Two houses, one courtyard. Do not collapse them.

This walk should already hold a last or a pair, a bar or a marzipan box, and a named plate if you wanted porcelain. If the bag is only a chimney-cake napkin, you did the ruin-bar version of Váci. Go back to Haris köz.

Walk 2: Andrássy edge and the Jewish Quarter

NUBU ZEN Store at Andrássy út 15, Aeron at 34, Írók Boltja at 45. Three doors, one avenue: a cut, a cut, a book. Ask who cut the piece. Hamerli is a short jog to Dessewffy utca 5 for table-cut gloves. Retrock is Anker köz 2-4. Confirm the door. OperaShop is inside Andrássy 22, old ticket hall toward Dalszínház, if the object is opera.

Then Rumbach and Klauzál. Printa at Rumbach Sebestyén utca 10 is the screen workshop. Buy a sheet or a textile whose plate you can ask about. Plante at Madách Imre út 8 if a pot is useful. Lúd Labor at Klauzál utca 31 binds the notebook on site. This stretch is the Jewish Quarter as workshop, not as night.

Sunday only: Szimpla Kert Farmers Market Sunday at Kazinczy utca 14, Erzsébetváros pin, not the Rákospalota street of the same number. Cheese, honey, bread from a producer. Leave the bar merch. Night at Szimpla is not on this route.

Taste Hungary is a slight south-east push to Bródy Sándor utca 22. Shop at 22. Cellar at 9 if you booked. Palace District, not the ruin-bar grid.

Walk 3: Buda counters, then the hall if the bag still has room

Cross at the Chain Bridge. Bortársaság at Lánchíd utca 5 is the official large parlour, Clark Ádám tér. Named bottle, named region. Prezent is Döbrentei utca 16 in Tabán: clothing and home goods, some made upstairs. Ask what was made upstairs. Auguszt Cukrászda is Fény utca 8, the family pastry counter that justifies the Buda crossing. Esterházy or Dobos, packed if it will travel. Official history 1869, card 1870. Do not settle the year on the walk.

Katti Zoób at Csaba utca 13 is weekday or appointment. Official page still flags pre-opening hours. Confirm. Medence Concept Store at Ménesi út 1 is a separate Gellérthegy errand for mesh bags. Do not stitch it onto Fény as if it were next door.

Do not add Dora Abodi because Zivatar utca 11 is nearby on a map. That number is a 3rd/4th-floor registered office, Országút. No door. Stay on Fény and Lánchíd.

Back on Pest, the hall is Great Market Hall, Vámház körút 1-3. Pantry with a village or a smokehouse on the label. Upstairs dolls are not the errand. Tipton Eyeworks is Erkel utca 6, vinyl frames, next streets over. Drop Shop is a north Lipótváros add-on at Balassi Bálint utca 27. Do not walk Tűzoltó. Ecseri Market is Kispest, Nagykőrösi út 156, its own morning, not a detour between pastry shops.

Ludwig Museum Shop at Komor Marcell utca 1 is south at Müpa. Go if you are already at the museum.

Do not add Nanushka (closed, relocating). The route is a last, a named plate, a boxed cake, a print, a Buda counter. The ruin-bar walk can wait until the bag is full.
