What Kaliningrad Marzipan Museum is known for
The Toropov family opened Russia's first marzipan museum in Kaliningrad's Youth Park in 2011, pairing exhibits on the confection's Königsberg history with a small production line that hand-shapes and hand-paints marzipan to a 50-percent-almond, rose-water recipe. Visitors can watch pieces made to order and take workshops in painting their own marzipan discs.
